THIS WEEK IT'S SMOKED TROUT TARTS

 

 

 Niki's Smoked Trout Tarts

 

 

 

Makes 6 Prep 20 mins Cooking 20 mins

 

Ingredients

 

olive oil to brush filo pastry

3 sheets filo pastry

1 smoked trout (about 250g), skinned, flaked

3 eggs, lightly beaten

1/4 cup (60ml) light milk

2 tbs light sour cream

2 tbs fresh dill, chopped

1/2 cup (60g) peas

 

 

Method

 

1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius.

 

2. Lightly oil a large 6 muffin tin.

 

3. Cut filo sheets in half and then lightly brush with oil. Fold in half and then in half again. Line the muffin tin with the filo squares.

 

4. Mix the trout with all the remaining ingredients and fill the filo with mixture.

 

5. Bake the tarts for about 20 minutes or until lightly browned or filling is set.

 

6. Serve hot or cold with a lovely green salad and ENJOY!
